How should comments on a ticket work?
Today, questions about a ticket go by email and the answers get lost in inboxes. Comments keep the conversation on the ticket. Every version below works, so try them.
What people need
Where do I ask?
On the ticket, not by email.
Did they see it?
A mention reaches the right person.
What's new?
I see what changed since my last visit.
Can I fix a typo?
I can edit my comment, and others see it changed.
Why was this decided?
Weeks later, the answer is still on the ticket.
What if I leave mid-sentence?
My unsent comment isn't lost.
Proposal
A conversation in the ticket's side panel. Mention someone with @, post a comment, then leave the ticket to see the list.
